Don't dig yourself too deep...
Since we have some snow here in Virginia, I thought this would be the perfect day to write this entry. We all know that the winter season can be a bit depressing at times, especially after all of the holiday festivities are over; but, we need to remember not to dig ourselves so deep in the snow that we won't be able to get ourselves out. Winter is the season that causes the most suicides in the U.S. and it makes me very upset to hear that. Just because it might be gloomy outside, does not mean we have to bring that gloominess inside. When I wake up in the morning in a not so "Good Morning!" mood, it usually rubs off on me for the rest of the day and it's never fun. So, what I am starting to do is WAKE UP! Sometimes when I wake up, I usually don't get up right away. I can literally lay in my bed for hours until I actually get up, take a shower and get dressed. I have found this to be my number one problem to ruining the rest of my day. So, my advice to you, my awesome readers, is to WAKE UP, GET UP, GET DRESSED AND KEEP MOVING! You are less likely to sulk at home in your oh-so-snugly blanket if you get up and move on! Don't dig yourself any deeper than you already have. If you get out, talk to others, go to the gym or even just take a walk to your mailbox, that fresh wintery air could really help you and motivate you to stay out of your family room for more than 10 minutes. I hope this helps you to bring back that jolly winter cheer we all so desperately need, my friends!
